Fortune Medicare,
Inc., in a strategic move to better serve the needs of a rapidly changing
managed care market, has transferred its business interests and holdings in all
Fortune Care branded full service clinics to a separate entity created to serve
the needs and requirements of the healthcare market for ambulatory clinic
services.
With more than twenty
seven years of experience in the managed care industry that allowed the company
to serve market segments that were underserved, Fortune Medicare’s management
embarked on this strategic move to allow its managed care operations better
opportunities in focusing on a core strength; providing comprehensive,
affordable, responsible and excellent healthcare services to all segments of
society through its various cutting edge
products.
“This direction
allows us to concentrate our resources on specific core areas of the business
model we have adopted that will allow the company to redeploy its resources and
investments when opportunities arise amid the challenges ahead allowing us to
continuously serve our customers”, said J. Antonio A. Cabangon, Jr., Fortune
Medicare, Inc. Chairman and CEO. He added that Fortune Medicare, Inc’s vision
and mission embodied in the advocacy of its founding chair, Amb. Antonio L.
Cabangon-Chua, remains the guiding light in this milestone.
For her part, Fortune
Medicare, Inc. President and COO, Dorothea J. Sibal, said that this latest
development will only strengthen the company because it will allow the
management team to focus on its core competency. “We have always been a managed
care organization from the very beginning. The clinics we have invested in were
means to reach our customers, providing them with convenient, cost-effective and
quality standards of service. I am very fortunate that this milestone is being
undertaken at this time because we now have an identified partner in Health
Protect, Inc. to uplift ambulatory clinic services to new heights. While this
remains a subsidiary of the company, the clinics will be operated on an arms
length basis, a management principle we have adopted that served other well-
managed companies improve their operational efficiencies”, Mrs. Sibal said.
The new entity,
HEALTHPROTECT Inc., shall be managed by a separate management team recently
organized.
